Women’s Walking Football
What is it?
Ideal for anyone who just wants to play football for fun, Walking Football opens the door for players who haven’t played before or for those who want to continue playing, or want to return to the game.
Led by our female coaches in a safe and non-judgemental environment, the session will include a warm up, introduce basic skills, as well as an opportunity to play a match.
The slower pace makes Walking Football a great way to start playing football. For all kinds of people, Walking Football means getting together, having fun, and getting active.
The session takes place on our fantastic rear community training pitches located behind the stadium every Thursday from 7pm-8pm.
Upon arrival, please head to the rear community pitches where a member of staff will be on hand to sign you in. A range of refreshments will be available to purchase from our Broomfields Bar & Kitchen.
You will need plenty of water and suitable clothing. T-shirt and shorts are fine but we advise to bring along tracksuits and warm clothes as the weather can change quickly! Footwear? We recommend Astroturf/Moulded boots along with shin pads. We do not allow metal studs or flat sole trainers for safety reasons.
With one of the best all-weather pitches, we’ve only had two sessions cancelled in our 10 years+ of operation. Rain or shine we’ll be running and open as usual!
You MUST book in advance. Participants can join the session at any time during the term by booking online either day or term passes.
How much does it cost and how do I book?
Sessions cost £5 per session if you choose to purchase a day pass. On the other hand you can commit yourself to a term long pass!
To book, visit the book now button.
Please note: When booking on our Class for Kids system you will have to create a profile to book. This will involve you filling out details as if you are a parent and then when asked about your child you will fill out the same details about yourself – therefore making a mini me profile.
