Bromley FC to host booster vaccination centre
- Community

The Bromley Football Club Community Sports Trust has teamed up with the South East London NHS CCG to host a pop-up Covid-19 vaccination centre.
The Hayes Lane Stadium will host the event on Sunday 19th December, from 10am-4pm and will be open to those aged 18 and above, or those aged 40 and above who are due/overdue a booster jab.
With the Club donating use of its facilities, NHS staff and volunteers will be based in the Venue Suite, which will be set up to deliver the vaccine safely, whilst also maintaining social distancing.
Those wishing to attend are encouraged to book by telephone on 0208 175 0473, but walk-ins will also be welcome. Those who book appointments are politely asked not to arrive too long in advance of their booked slot to ensure that queues can be kept to a minimum.
Free lateral flow testing kits will also be available on the day.
Clinical Director and lead GP for the vaccination Dr Alka Sharma commented; “We are delighted to be working with the Bromley Football Club Community Sports Trust. We are holding this special clinic to help make it as easy and accessible as possible for those who are eligible to come forward. The vaccine is the best way to protect you and your loved ones. Our team of clinicians are happy to talk to anyone who is not sure about whether to have the vaccine and need more information”.
Director of Charity & Community Jeff Hutton added: “We’re very proud to be playing our small part in supporting the NHS’ efforts to protect our Community and are pleased that Hayes Lane will be an important part of this.”
