The Bromley Football Club Community Sports Trust are delighted to announce that ‘MAN v FAT Bromley’ has been won MAN v FAT’s prestigious ‘Club of the Year’ award for the South East region.

The club beat the likes of Millwall, Twickenham and Colchester to the title.

Bromley won the award despite only being in the first year of running, having launched back in July 2021.

Season two of MAN v FAT Bromley is already in full swing with over 70 participants making the commitment to change their lives though our weight loss programme.

The FA-endorsed MAN v FAT Football scheme has helped men lose more than 300,000 lbs. Local men who want to tackle their weight issues have the chance to participate in an incredibly successful weight loss league. With 95% of players losing weight, some of whom have lost up to 70lbs during a 14 week schedule, the programme has been incredibly popular across the country and won several awards, including the UKactive Healthy Community Award.

On winning the regional ‘Club of the Year’ award, faciliator Ali Syahoui said: “To win Club of the year for the South East in our first year facilitating MAN v FAT is a great honour and is testament to all the players and staff involved. Without everyone’s hard work and dedication, none of this is possible!”

“Seeing the lads’ reactions when they’ve reached their personal goals or lost weight brings me so much joy, and I’m so grateful to be involved in their journeys to a healthier lifestyle.”

Over the past 2 seasons, the community of players within the club have come together to create such a special bond that in turn has created an atmosphere that is safe, welcoming and a supportive place to play football, lose weight and make new friends.”
