Club host successful Riverside School community day
- Community

Hayes Lane played host to a well attended Riverside School community day on Sunday 30th June.
Staff and students were joined by family members on the day, as well as Bromley captain Jack Holland, who assumed the position of goalkeeper in a half time penalty shootout with pupils.
The day saw Riverside Staff (aka Riverside Royals) take on a team of parents (SPC allstars). Despite the staff taking a 1-0 lead in the first half, the allstars hit back on three occasions, eventually running out 3-1 winners.
Head of PE Steve Day said;” This has been a fantastic day for all those connected to Riverside School. From the families, friends and staff to Bromley FC and the local community we have come together to deliver a wonderful spectacle.
With an attendance of over 300, a football match not short on quality and access to all of the stunning facilities Bromley FC have to offer, it could not fail to provide another highlight on our academic calendar.
To cap off the day, it was great to have the Captain of Bromley FC, Jack Holland, in attendance and helping out with our half time penalty shoot out. I know this will have made the day extra special for all those young boys and girls in attendance.”
The Club were delighted to host the day at Hayes Lane as a product of our blossoming relationship with the Riverside School community, and we look forward to the next one!
