Players in host of Community appearances!

Members of the Bromley Football Club Women’s and Men’s First Team were present at a number of community events across the past few weeks, meeting a wide range of people and participants.

It all started off on Friday 22nd October, as Luke Coulson and Joe Partington headed down to St James’ RC Primary School in Petts Wood to meet children taking part in our Soccer Camp, hosted at the school.

The players watched and joined in with activities, before giving each child a free ticket for the match against FC Halifax Town, as well as signing autographs and posing for photos when parents arrived.

When Saturday comes around, it’s more than just a matchday at Hayes Lane. We host our Saturday Morning Soccer School every week for children aged 4-14! It was great to see First Team Manager Andy Woodman attend with Assistant Manager Alan Dunne and First Team Coach Roger Johnson, with the latter even joining in coach Onur’s session!

We were also delighted to welcome Bromley Ladies’ very own Jade Davenport and Chloe Robertson, along with coach Dave Pointing and Chairman Ian Robertson to our Wildcats sessions! Jade even joined in with Coach Andrea’s session!

For our Womens’ team’s FA Cup match, we were delighted to host an amazing crowd of 536, who really helped drive the team on to a 2-0 victory. It was equally brilliant to see First Team Captain Byron Webster in attendance, getting behind Steve Payne’s side.

When the new week arrived, we were pleased to have James Alabi and George Alexander visit our Soccer Camp. The following day saw children get a visit from Nathan Tormey and Toby Stevenson, who answered questions and signed autographs.

To round off the week, Soccer Camp attendees were treated to a Q&A with Billy Bingham and Chris Bush, before the duo took a session on our training pitches!

The following week, Community Manager Matt Hall was joined on a Zoom call by Corey Whitely, who spoke with the early onset dementia group from the Bromley Dementia Support, answering questions about life as a professional footballer and all things Bromley FC.

Corey Whitely joined the Bromley Dementia Hub’s Young Onset Dementia Group for a chat over Zoom!

A huge thank you to all the first team players and staff who gave up their time this week!
