Ravens Chat visit Signature

Last week, our Ravens Chat members visited the scheme’s sponsor, Signature at Beckenham, and were also joined by a special guest, the Mayor of Bromley!

Our weekly Thursday group, which aims to combat loneliness and isolation whilst aiding mental wellbeing, normally takes place at Hayes Lane, but was this week held at the state of the art facilities of Signature, and our members were joined by some of their residents.

The Mayor joined in conversations with both Ravens Chat members and Signature residents before drawing this month’s 100+ Club winners.

On the trip to Signature and the visit from The Mayor, Head of Community, Matt Hall said: “This event was a celebration of the wonderful partnership we have with Signature at Beckenham, who have engaged with our Ravens Chat group so enthusiastically from day one. To have the Mayor of Bromley attend was a real privilege, and I know the group enjoyed chatting to her. The facilities at Signature at Beckenham are second to none, and the members all enjoyed experiencing these first hand, as well as meeting and chatting to residents, where some friendships were definitely formed. This is a show of the proud Community ethos of both ourselves and Signature at Beckenham, and we look forward to another visit very soon!”

Laura Nightingale, Client Liaison Manager at Signature, added: “We were delighted to host this wonderful community event; welcoming the Ravens Club members and the Mayor of Bromley into our care home – Signature Beckenham. It was great to have so many of the Ravens members able to join us and our residents thoroughly enjoying mingling and making new friends. It was lovely to see the smiles on the faces of the residents and the members. Our residents look forward to joining the Ravens Chat at Bromley FC as one of their outings. It was lovely to bring the community together in this way.”
