Trust hold Wildcats friendly
- Community

On Saturday 30th April, Bromley Football Club Community Sports Trust were delighted to hold our very first Wildcats friendly with Parkfield Panthers on the stadium pitch ahead of the first team game against Chesterfield.
In brilliant sunshine, over 40 girls, aged between seven and ten took to the stadium pitch to play football in front of their friends and families.
For some of the Wildcats this was their first experience of playing a friendly game, but this did not show as they all played brilliantly, putting everything into the game.
The girls were joined at the event by Bromley Ladies Assistant Coach Dave Pointing and first team captain Stacie Taylor, and even club mascot Ronin the Raven came down to support the girls!

After the game, all of the players received a certificate and were invited to stay and watch the Men’s First team win against Chesterfield, capping off a great day.
Parkfield Panthers Wildcats Coach said: “Our girls loved the experience of playing in a stadium and on such a fantastic surface, it was such a great day. We would like to thank the Bromley Community Sports Trust for organising the event.”
Andrea Ellis, Development Officer for Women and Girls at Bromley FC Community Sports Trust added: “It is brilliant to see so many girls playing on this amazing pitch, with their families in the stand cheering them on. This is such a great experience for them all and by the smiles on their faces they really enjoyed it! Opportunities like this are so important for girls playing football, and we cannot wait to organise more friendly games with other Wildcat teams.”
If your daughter is aged between four and eleven and loves football then we run two Wildcats sessions, on Saturdays from 10-11am and Tuesday from 5-6pm. For more information on this and girls’ football sessions, click here or contact andrea.ellis@bromleyfc.co.uk
