Trust launch Ravens Chat project in partnership with Signature at Beckenham

The Bromley Football Club Community Sports Trust is delighted to have partnered with Signature at Beckenham to launch our new Ravens Chat programme.

The first session took place on Thursday 3rd February, with 10 of our long term supporters in attendance.

The scheme is aimed at over 50s within the community, looking to reduce loneliness and isolation by providing a space to meet like-minded people and enjoy conversations in a relaxed environment at Hayes Lane.

Future sessions will see quizzes, looking at memorabilia, scheduled talks with players, management staff and other club personnel, as well as trips to Signature at Beckenham.

Laura Nightingale, Client Liaison Manager at Signature Beckenham, commented: “We are delighted to be in partnership with Bromley FC to launch the Ravens Chat. We are keen to work in the community to help prevent loneliness especially in older adults. We look forward to hosting the Ravens chat at Signature Beckenham in our Village Hall and screening the Bromley Boys film in our Cinema for the members.”

“Working with Bromley FC and the Ravens Chat is a great way for us to help our residents stay connected in the community and make new friends.”

Director of Charity and Community Jeff Hutton commented: “We’re delighted to have got Ravens Chat off to a fantastic start, and it’s thanks to Signature at Beckenham that we’re able to host this. It was great to see so many familiar faces on our launch and we look forward to welcoming them all, and further new participants, in the coming weeks.”

Attendees at our first session were treated to a surprise visit from Andy Woodman
