Trust launch Women and Girls Strategy

Bromley Football Club Community Sports Trust is pleased to announce the launch of their first Women and Girls’ Strategy.

Our new two year strategy clearly sets out the Trust’s aims to increase female participation in football within our community.

The strategy outlines three clear objectives:

  • Providing football for all, both recreationally and competitively
  • Developing our female coach workforce
  • Engaging with our local community

Although ambitious, our targets are needed to change the landscape of women and girls’ football. After the success of the Lionesses it is now more important than ever to develop football for all.

Matt Hall, Head of Community said, ‘We are delighted to launch this strategy. Women and girls has been a key pillar in our development thus far, and I am pleased we can now make further strides with the support of Andrea and her team’.

And Women and Girls Development Officer, Andrea Ellis added, ‘This strategy highlights how integral female participation is to the Trust’s work. It is crucial for our vision, where we all women and girls, regardless of age or previous ability can access football.’

The strategy is launched alongside the start of Bromley FC Women’s season which began on Sunday 21st August.
