Trust Receives Grant Support from Nationwide Building Society

The Bromley FC Community Sports Trust were delighted to receive a £1000 grant from Nationwide Building Society having shown commitment to mutual respect within grassroots football at Hayes Lane.

Head of Community Matt Hall and Women and Girls’ Development Officer Andrea Ellis went to the Bromley branch of Nationwide to collect a banner and meet the team to share just how the Trust had showcased mutual respect in its provisions.

Anthony Field, Bromley Branch Manager at Nationwide said: “At Nationwide Building Society we are keen to recognise how local clubs, like Bromley FC have gone above and beyond to demonstrate mutual respect both, at the club and in the local community.

There were a high number of applications for this grant, but the Trust’s work, particularly with girls in Bromley was very impressive.

Bromley FC and it’s Community Sports Trust fully deserve to receive this Nationwide Mutual Respect Grant fund and we look forward to hearing more about how they will continue to promote mutual respect on and off the pitch in 2023”

Women and Girls’ Development Officer, Andrea Ellis, added: “This grant is hugely appreciated. It will allow us to continue the work we are doing in the community delivering sessions for girls who want to play football. It also means that after we will be able to grow our provisions for more girls, that will have been inspired by the Lionesses.”

We would like to thank Nationwide Building Society for their support.
