Easter HAF Camp – Supporting Young People Across Bromley

This Easter, Bromley FC Community Trust was proud to deliver another successful Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, offering free access to high-quality holiday camps for children and young people across the borough.

Designed for boys and girls aged 7–16, our HAF Camps combined football and multi-sports, health and wellbeing activities, and confidence-building sessions, ensuring every child felt supported, active, and included. A key part of the programme is a focus on nutritional wellbeing—with all participants receiving a healthy, balanced lunch each day.

Open to young people in receipt of benefit-related free school meals, children living in Bromley as refugees, and Clarion Housing residents, our Easter HAF Camp provided a safe, inclusive space where everyone could belong.

A Powerful Local Partnership

This programme was delivered in partnership with the Bromley Children and Families Forum, supported by the London Borough of Bromley, and funded by the Department for Education (DfE). Together, we are removing barriers, promoting wellbeing, and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to thrive during the school holidays.

“A special thanks to the Bromley Children and Families Forum, who have trusted and supported us since this project’s inception,” said Jeff Hutton, Chief Executive of Bromley FC Community Trust. “Their continued partnership and belief in our delivery has been instrumental in enabling the programme to grow and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people across Bromley.”

More Than Just Sport

The impact of the Easter HAF Camps goes far beyond physical activity. For many children, it was a chance to:

  • Build self-confidence and social skills
  • Learn about healthy lifestyles
  • Make new friends in a safe, positive environment

We’re proud to play our part in supporting local families and ensuring that holiday periods remain enriching, accessible, and inclusive for all.

Thank you to all our partners, staff, and families for making Easter 2025 one to remember.

We look forward to doing it all again this summer!
