- News

February may be the shortest month of the year, but that didn’t stop us from making a big impact! From community outreach to fun-filled football, our work continues to make a difference. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from a fantastic month at Bromley FC Community Trust.
Community Trust Chief Executive Jeff Hutton on February’s Impact
“February may be the shortest month of the year, but it’s been one filled with impact, community, and connection. From supporting families through our holiday camps to celebrating the achievements of inspiring individuals like Mia, this month has showcased everything that makes Bromley FC Community Trust special. A huge thank you to everyone who plays a part in making this possible—we’re only just getting started!”
A Fresh Look for Our Beloved Raven
Thanks to the generosity of 100+ Club supporters, our mascot received a brand-new look! Their ongoing contributions help support the work we do, and we’re grateful for their support in bringing this fun refresh to life.
Half-Term Camp Dads in Action!
Our Men’s First Team got involved in a special way this February, not just on the pitch but as Half-Term Camp Dads when their own children attended! They helped raise awareness for our camps, shared positive feedback, and highlighted the importance of football in young people’s lives.
A Half-Term Holiday to Remember
Hundreds of local kids enjoyed a week packed with football, fun, and friendship. A huge thank you to Bromley FC 100+ Club members, whose generous contributions helped provide fully funded places for families who needed it most. Their support ensures that more children can access opportunities to play, learn, and grow.
Acts of Kindness Through Football
On Random Acts of Kindness Day, we teamed up with our Women & Girls partners, London Biggin Hill Airport, to provide over 50 girls with free football sessions—a fantastic way to celebrate the power of sport in bringing people together.
Inspiring the Next Generation
The Women’s First Team visited our Girls Camp, spending time with the young players, sharing their journeys, and taking part in a Q&A session, inspiring the next wave of female footballers.
Words of Wisdom & Football Fun
Not to be outdone, the Men’s First Team also joined our holiday camps, offering invaluable advice and, of course, getting stuck into the football action with the kids!
Honouring Our FA Cup Legacy
A special moment this month saw us presenting auction winners with signed memorabilia from our historic FA Cup clash against Newcastle United. The funds raised will help support the ongoing work of the Community Trust.
Connecting & Learning at the EFL Annual Club and Community Meeting
We attended the EFL Annual Club and Community Meeting, where we had the opportunity to share best practices, strengthen relationships, and continue learning from fellow Clubs and Club Community Organisations.
Welcoming an Inspirational Guest – Mia’s Story
We were honoured to welcome Mia, an incredible advocate for Annabelle’s Challenge (the UK’s leading charity for VEDS), to our home fixture against Fleetwood Town. Diagnosed with VEDS at just 7 years old, Mia has since raised nearly £80,000 for research. It was a privilege to host Mia, Bonnie, and the team, and we’re inspired by her incredible dedication.
Plenty of Fun at After-School Clubs
Our after-school clubs continued to thrive, with plenty of fun and excitement—and some special player appearances making the sessions even more memorable.
A Short Month, A Big Impact
February may have been the shortest month, but it was packed with community, football, and meaningful moments. A huge thank you to everyone who continues to play their part in making a difference. Here’s to another fantastic month ahead!
