Bromley FC Community Trust was proud to welcome London Biggin Hill Airport to our Girls’ Holiday Camp this week, as participants enjoyed a free day of football, friendship, and fun at Hayes Lane.
Thanks to the continued commitment of London Biggin Hill Airport as our Women & Girls Lead Partner, every girl attended free of charge, ensuring more girls than ever had the opportunity to play football.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Adding to the excitement, several Bromley FC Women’s First Team players joined the session, sharing their journeys, offering encouragement, and showing our young participants what’s possible both on and off the pitch.
For many of the girls, meeting real-life role models from their local club was powerful.
Andrea Ellis, Head of Women & Girls at Bromley FC Community Trust, said:
“This is exactly why we’re so passionate about growing the girls’ game in Bromley.
Thanks to London Biggin Hill Airport funding this day, every girl here has been able to step onto the pitch, feel included, and simply enjoy playing football with their friends.
Seeing our Women’s First Team players here as role models makes it even more powerful. The girls can see the pathway, and they can see what’s possible.”
Breaking Down Barriers
Our dedicated Girls’ Holiday Camp forms part of our wider commitment to expanding opportunities for females of all ages and abilities across the borough.
By working alongside partners like London Biggin Hill Airport, we continue to create opportunities to grow the girls’ game—spaces where every girl feels she belongs.
