Matchday Makers Launch at Millwall fixture
- Community
- News

Tomorrow marks a small but exciting step forward in our mission to improve the matchday experience at Bromley FC – as the Bromley FC Community Trust proudly launches the pilot of our new Matchday Makers volunteer team.
These fantastic volunteers – supporters just like you – will be out and about across the stadium, supporting key areas such as wayfinding, fan engagement, family stand assistance, and information support. This pilot will run during tomorrow’s home fixture against Millwall, and we hope you’ll join us in welcoming them and showing your support.
💬 Why Matchday Makers?
This new initiative is part of our ongoing mission to ensure every supporter, visitor, and family has the best possible experience at The CopperJax Community Stadium. Whether it’s helping someone find their seat, greeting fans with a warm smile, or assisting families in the designated blocks, our Matchday Makers are here to play their part in making matchdays even more special.
We know the difference that small moments of connection and kindness can make – and this pilot is all about testing what works and learning as we go.
“Matchdays are about more than football — they’re about connection and belonging. We’re excited to launch this pilot and explore how it can enhance the matchday experience, helping every supporter feel welcome and part of something bigger.” — Jeff Hutton, Chief Executive, Bromley FC Community Trust
🙏 Thank You to the Supporters Committee & 100+ Club
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Supporters Committee and the amazing members of our 100+ Club, whose generous donations have funded the new Matchday Makers kit and helped bring this project to life.
Thanks to you, our volunteers will be instantly recognisable in their official kit, pictured above and below – helping supporters spot them when they need help or have a question.
👏 Be Kind, Be Supportive
For our Matchday Makers, tomorrow will be their very first time volunteering in this way – so if you see someone in a Matchday Makers jacket, give them a wave, a thank you, or even just a smile. They’re here to help, and your encouragement means the world.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s stepped forward to be part of this – and we’re looking forward to seeing how the pilot develops as the season gets underway.
📣 What’s Next?
Following the pilot, we’ll be inviting feedback from both volunteers and supporters, with a view to expanding the programme and offering more regular opportunities for fans to get involved.
Together, we’re building something special.
