Playing Our Part: Community Connections Across the Borough
- Community
- News

Community impact comes in many different forms, and this week has been another brilliant reminder of the power football has to bring people together across the Borough and beyond.
From sharing best practice nationally at St George’s Park, to celebrating local community events, supporting our veterans and backing Bromley Women ahead of a huge final game of the season, there has been plenty happening once again across Bromley FC and Bromley FC Community Trust.
Here is this week’s Playing Our Part update.

Showcasing Parkinson’s Football at St George’s Park
It was fantastic to see Bromley FC Community Trust represented at St George’s Park earlier this week, with Joel and Phil presenting our Parkinson’s Walking Football project to colleagues from across the EFL.
The day provided a brilliant opportunity to share best practice, learn from other clubs and hear more about the incredible work taking place nationally to support those living with Parkinson’s through football.
Huge thanks to Johnnie Garside and the EFL for the invitation and opportunity to share and learn alongside colleagues from across the game.

Supporting Our Veterans at Foxbridge House
A huge thank you to our good friends at Care UK’s Foxbridge House Care Home, who recently welcomed members of our Bromley FC Veterans Hub for a fish and chips lunch to commemorate VE Day and thank them for their service.
The afternoon was another brilliant example of community connection in action, bringing people together through conversation, shared experiences and appreciation for those who have served.
We are incredibly grateful for Foxbridge House’s continued support of our Veterans Hub and the work they do within the local community.

Community Spirit on Show at Broom Day 2026
It was great to have a presence at Broom Day 2026 over the weekend, engaging with local residents and celebrating everything that makes Bromley’s community spirit so special.
A huge thank you to Joel, Tom and Matthew for representing Bromley FC Community Trust brilliantly throughout the day, helping create a fantastic atmosphere with our ‘Beat the Goalie’ challenge.
Events like this are a brilliant reminder of the importance of community connection, local pride and bringing people together.
Thanks also to Ellie and The Glades for helping get us involved, alongside everyone who played a part in organising such a successful event, including Your Bromley, London Borough of Bromley, Bromley Civic Society, Greener and Cleaner, Bromley Brighter Beginnings and Friends of Bromley Town Parks & Gardens.

Celebrating Community Volunteers with Bromley Scouts
We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Mayor to Bromley FC last weekend alongside Bromley Scouts, celebrating the fantastic achievement of exceeding their target of recruiting 60 volunteers as part of Bromley’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
Volunteer recruitment and community involvement continue to play such an important role across the Borough, and it was fantastic to see so many people recognised.
A big thank you also to the Broomfields team for hosting and to Mauro and his team for providing fantastic food for everyone in attendance.
One Final Push for Bromley Women
Attention now turns to a huge final game of the season for Bromley Women this Sunday away at Camden Town. Kick off is 2pm at Wingate & Finchley FC.
After an outstanding campaign full of hard work, progress and memorable moments, promotion remains firmly in the team’s hands heading into the final fixture of the season.
We would love to see as many supporters there as possible backing the team one final time this season.
Stay Connected
This is just a snapshot of the work taking place each week. If you would like to follow more of our journey, you can connect with Bromley FC Community Trust across our social channels on Instagram and Facebook including LinkedIn.
Together, we continue to play our part. Thank you for your continued support.
