Playing Our Part: Creating Impact Beyond the Pitch
- News

What an incredible season it has been. I am sure we are all looking forward to the weekend ahead.
Inspired by the great work happening across the football club, and building on the regular ‘Commercial Office’ updates from Mick and the Commercial team, we wanted to share more consistently how, as a club, we are playing our part within our community.
As our Chairman has made clear from day one, Bromley FC has a responsibility that goes far beyond matchdays. Every day, across the Borough, we are working to create connection, opportunity and lasting impact through football. We plan to use this weekly update as a chance to bring you closer to that work.

A Leader On and Off the Pitch – Thank You Byron
On Monday, Byron announced that this weekend will mark his final appearance as a Bromley player.
The club was a very different place when he arrived in 2020, and I have had the privilege of witnessing his impact first hand. Byron has been a leader, a history maker and a constant presence in our community work. Whether supporting sessions, inspiring young people or simply giving his time, he has consistently embodied what it means to represent this football club. His recognition as our PFA Community Champion last season was thoroughly deserved.
As he brings an incredible Bromley FC playing chapter to a close, we thank him not just for the moments we have all witnessed on the pitch, but for the role he has played in helping us connect with our community in a meaningful way.

Sporting Memories and Connection Through Conversation
Our Sporting Memories group recently had the pleasure of welcoming Ashley Charles to one of their sessions.
Supported by our friends at Bromley Borough Rotary Clubs, Sporting Memories uses the power of reminiscence alongside light physical activity to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness. It is a brilliant example of how football can bring people together in meaningful ways.
The sessions are open to anyone who may be feeling isolated or living with long term conditions, whether they are supporters, former players or simply members of our community. More details can be found here >

Veterans Programme – Growing Stronger Together
Our Military Veterans programme continues to grow, supported by the Veterans Foundation.
We recently welcomed the Royal Tank Regiment Veterans to the CopperJax Community Stadium for our first official home fixture. It was a fantastic occasion filled with camaraderie, teamwork and plenty of smiles.
A special thank you to Trustee and volunteer Gary Thompson, whose passion and commitment continue to drive this programme forward.

Next Generation – Inspiring Stories from Our Youth
There has been some brilliant progress across our youth pathway.
Our Under 12 Girls have been crowned league champions. Scoring 86 goals, conceding just 7 and keeping 11 clean sheets in 16 games is an outstanding achievement. They now look ahead to a League Cup Final on 17 May.
Seth from our Under 16 Rooks has also taken a significant step on his journey, attending the Para Talent Pathway National Emerging Talent Programme trials at St George’s Park and earning a call back to the next stage.
We are incredibly proud of all our young players and the environments being created for them to thrive. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteer coaches, youth committee, parents and supporters. Thank you for everything you do.
Stay Connected
This is just a snapshot of the work taking place each week. If you would like to follow more of our journey, you can connect with Bromley FC Community Trust across our social channels on Instagram and Facebook including LinkedIn.
Together, we continue to play our part. Thank you for your continued support.
