What is your role at Bromley FC?
I am club receptionist based in club shop so I assist customers in the shop as well.
I have been in this role since November last year.
It involves taking telephone calls, answering ticketing and enquiries emails.
In the club shop the role includes, printing shirts, restocking the shop, stock taking, serving customers, general assistance in the shop.
I also sell tickets for home games, and on match days I am based on The Venue reception. This is to sign guests into The Venue or Ravens Lounge, if my help is needed I also assist in The Venue bar on match days.
How long have you been involved in football?
It started back in 2020 when I worked in the tea huts. I did some work also behind the bar and coffee bar in Broomfields and Ravens. I also did some administration work for the Community Trust – signing in for soccer schools.
Later down the line I started full time in July 2022 being Players’ Lounge host. Then I started full time in this role November 2022.
What has been your experience of being involved or working in football?
Working in football is a different experience then my previous job being a full time dog groomer!
I absolutely love working in football. I have grown a passion for football and have learnt to understand the game. There’s never a dull moment and no day is the same!
There’s lots of work to do and a lot of effort and care in it. I absolutely love working at club.
What have you enjoyed most about being involved with football?
Not everyday is the same. I love assisting the customers whether it be for tickets, club shop or general enquiries. I take pride in my work and enjoy helping customers when I can.
What advice would you give someone wanting to get involved in football?
Go for it! Life is too short, do what you want to do. If you want to work in football then go for it!
