We were delighted to welcome Community Partners, Allegro School of Gymnastics, to the men’s home fixture on Saturday.
Some of Allegro’s gymnasts welcomed the teams onto the pitch as flagbearers and also took part in our half time penalty challenge against club mascot, Ronin the Raven.
We also celebrated the community partnership and everything that Allegro have to offer when Owner and Head Coach, Sam Lomax, was interviewed pitch side ahead of kick-off.
Sam Lomax said: “We were absolutely overwhelmed by the feedback we received after the match. So many Bromley supporters, both young and old, came over to tell us how lovely it was to have us all there on Saturday, and what a lovely change it was to have our smiley gymnasts on the pitch! They love what we are doing and what we are bringing to the club, which was so lovely to hear as I knew we were coming into a very tight knit community when we started here at Bromley FC, but everyone including the staff and fans have embraced us so positively and it’s just the loveliest place to be a part of.”
Head of Community, Matt Hall, added: “It was a pleasure to welcome Sam and some of Allegro’s budding gymnasts on Saturday. It certainly made a change to our usual matchday routine! Our partnership with Allegro has got off to a brilliant start, and as a Community Trust, it’s important we offer non-footballing provisions of the highest quality too. Thanks to our partnership with Allegro, we now have a new youngest ever participant, who is under 2 years old! We look forward to growing this partnership and to further exciting prospects in the future.
“The Community Trust are proud to be funding Gymnastics sessions for Primary Schools in the Borough, meaning they are absolutely free for the schools. We’ve had a great uptake so far, and are excited at the prospect of working with more schools.”
If your school would be interested in taking advantage of these free sessions, please contact Allegro School of Gymnastics or email us via firstname.lastname@example.org
